Taman Cinta Park in Cilandak Timur with Ornaments of Affection

The RW 02 area of East Cilandak, Cilandak, South Jakarta, now has a green open space called Taman Cinta park (Love Park). The area, which is located on Jalan Raya TB Simatupang, stands atop a 150-square-meter-wide land.

This park is a place for residents to interact while refreshing and eliminating fatigue

Cilandak Timur Urban Village Head, Bayu Pasca Soengkono expressed Taman Cinta was originally a slum land because locals used it for illegal parking and a place for teenagers to hang out at night. Since the beginning of last January, this land has been transformed into a leading area by involving related units.

He explained the name Taman Cinta was taken, as it is full of ornaments with nuances of affection, such as photo spots bearing the symbol of a heart. In another part, ornamental plants planted in the ground are also framed with symbols of love, including the preparation of the planting also adjusts to the existing frame. The floors are painted and murals depict hearts.

This park was made involving 15 PPSU personnel; assisted by the Parks and City Forest Sub-agency Task Force, Bina Marga Sub-agency, Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, and the surrounding community.

"Hopefully, residents can feel they belong, take care of and keep the park beautiful, clean, and comfortable," he uttered.
